How the Calculator List was Formed

Since no equation sheets will be allowed during the exam, we must take precautions against students who might be tempted to program formulas into an alphanumeric calculator (as opposed to a purely numeric calculator). As such, alphanumeric calculators (includes virtually all graphing calculators) are forbidden in the exam.

Below is a list of approved calculators. This list was formulated by going to the web sites of the companies suggested by students and searching their presently available models for those calculators that are capable enough (trig functions, log, square root) but do not store alphanumerics. Older models might also be acceptable and will have to be cleared by the course instructor.
