Operational steps for check quality control script

  1. The first step in this script is to source the README file. The README file itself contains two source statements for the phenix_setup.csh newMar17 version, and for te ~silverd/.setenv.txt file. A third command in README is a setenv command for the PGHOST environment variable to be vpac15.phy.vanderbilt.edu .

  2. The second step is to check that the script is running on the vmps16 node. If not an immediate exit is taken. If the node is verified as correct, the the working directory is set to /home/phenix/prod/run6pp .

  3. The final step is to run the check.pl perl script. The operation of this perl script is as follows:
    1. A check.log is opened and appended to if it has already been started.
    2. Two lines will be written to the check.log file. The first line is a column header line for labelling 8 columns of information. The second line is the 8 pieces of information. The first of these is the date and time. The remaining pieces are the total number of PRDFs transferred to VU, the number which have been reconstructed, the number of failed jobs, the number of runs transferred BNL, the number remaining to do, the number still to run, and the number currently running in PBS.
