"Ok, everybody just take ONE more step back." This is me (center) in Canyonlands National Park with my two good buddies Will Johns (left) and Luca Cinquini (right). |
"I didn't know there were any flies at twelve and a thousand
feet" A shot of Luca and myself atop a pass in the Marroon Bells
Wilderness area. Four days of hiking makes anyone look terrible.
Really.
"But I thought the pool was supposed to be across the
street." After record rains near Chicago, my friend Harry Cheung needed
alternative transportation to reach his apartment.
"When do we get paid our 33 cents per hour?" After the record flooding
knocked out the AC at Fermilab, the temperature indoors quickly rose to over 90
degrees. A new kind of sweatshop.
"Dude, this place is like, so cool!" My often-times
backpacking partner, Kerstin Kirchenbaum, with a nice Canyonlands backdrop.
"Hello there!" Anna Saunders, one of my Argonne friends
in a typical pose.
"Man, don't take a picture of me now!" My college
roommate, Paul Steinbreuk, reclining and enjoying a cold one.
"And then I said..." Believe it or not, this is actually
my boss, John Cumalat. He doesn't normally smoke stogies, but you can see he's
also engaging in one of his other favorite activities.
"And I swear, its this BIG!" One of my co-workers, Brian
O'Reilly just acting natural. Honest.
"Isso ta' Foda! He's just
a little bit SPECIAL" Obviously at this point everyone has had just a bit
too much to drink. This is (from left to right) me, Silvano Sala, Iuri Pepe,
and Luigi Moroni.
